Re:BIG tires
Ive been to shows and seen CTD guys with 4 1/2" suspension lifts and 3" body lifts running 38-40" tires but I think anything larger than that you would need to trim the fenderwells or have a custom lift.

Re:BIG tires
friend had 305/70-16's on his 94, looked very good

that's as big as i'd wanna go with out a lift otherwise i'd think the tires would rub in the front wheel wells under full compression while you're turning

and what I've learned from the couple of lifts I've put on trucks a 4 1/2" lift won't necissarily raise the truck a full 4 1/2 inches, don't know why, just seems to be that way
I don't know how your running 35's stock height. My 33's rub at full lock on stock height. Most guys have to run a 2" leveling kit on teh front to run 35's. That's what I'm going to do soon.
Mine are 315 75R16 A/T's on the stock rims and no rubbing havent done any real extreme four wheeling just you run through a big mud hole and a few hill climbs but no rubbing at all i do want the 2 inch leveling kit for looks but dont need it it is sorta at the bottom of the mod list

Re:BIG tires
Here is 36" Parnelli Jones tires wich are actully a true 36" tire, with a 4.5" Skyjacker no rub at all on full lock. I plan on going with a 3" performance body lift later with 38" Parnelli's

BBD

Re:BIG tires
Width of tire and rim offset play a big roll in clearance. It is the turning clearance you are worried about. That is why you will see some guys getting away with taller tires, they may be narrower. Be glad the new trucks have the coil/link suspension, go to the older ones with leaf srpings and you also have to worry about the axle moving back as you compress the suspension.

As for CTD with big rubber, well I have seen them, but most are for show. When you get over the 36" tire diameter you are really talking about going through the deap mud and that is the pursope of the truck. Problem is the CTD don't make real good mudders, the RPM range is way to short. You need as much rpm range as you can get to get the wheel speed up, with a 3300 red line you don't get much speed. In comparision I run my 440 to 7000 rpms, thats turnin em up :

Re:BIG tires
Just wish the site were up to date with the truck can't seem to find enough time anymore to keep up with it all. It has gotten a little bigger and better the last year.

Re:BIG tires
No story really other then he was stuck :P Keep tryin your luck untill you get stock and then look for someone to pull you out. Actually just after that day off pullin I found I spun a bearing and had to do a little rebuild

That R/C is a friend of mine. Actually that R/C is mine now, use it for a trial beater where the big yellow wont fit. He got a 75 R/C with the removable top that we fixed up, looks dam nice.
