Talking Big Pumps In.... Yahhooo

Well Its alive and I must say that its a very worth while effort.
The only problem was getting the pump to seat past the o-ring as the studs are about 2 threads to short... but once I got it on and it fired right up. SOP meter shows a incredible mid and upper rpm increase over the 180 pump. Only got to go around the block once it was warmed up but will put some miles on it tomorrow. One point of note is the 215 pump with the GSK revs a few hundred rpm higher than the 180 did and with the #10 plate it shifted 1-2 at 3k and the truck kicked out sideways spinning the tires I can see why they never put this pump up against a auto trans. I would say the 215 pump and injector swap into a 180 engine nets very close to the same SOP feel as a wire tapped box did on my 24v but it seems like theres more low end grunt in the 12v? Thanks for everyones input and help

So does that mean you have a 180 not being used?

I have been looking for a 215 but not having much luck.. A 180 would help although I need to spend big bucks for my tranny, like yesterday!!

sorry, that sig is old... need to update it... I didn't even have a truck at the time

got a 98 quad/short 2wd auto that I picked up for a song... I haven't really had any time to work on it except for straight piping it and playing w/ the 180 pump a little

but I've got a ton of parts sitting at home waiting to be installed... 215 pump, DDP4 injectors, sps66 turbo, 5" exhaust, o-ringed head, disk brake D80 rear, etc. last piece of the puzzle is the tranny... I've got an ATS stand alone valve body, just gotta send it to my tranny builder and get the full billet treatment

it should be pretty fun if I ever get to drive it

Well I got to put a few miles on it today and can trully say WOW Pyro screems up there now, ran into traffic by the time I was into drive but the pyro had already hit 1450. With the 180 pump I couldnt get past 1200. She can really pour the smoke now too so unfortunatly I will have to bolt my twins on
