Big brake kit

Anyone know anything about this?

http://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/P...e-Upgrade.aspx

This site doesn't provide much info on this "kit". There are no applications that the site lists, but the site has brake parts for diesel rams. I think someone with a large amount of disposable income should buy/try a set for the good of mankind.

Performance Friction is pretty high quality stuff. The diesel big brake aftermarket is lacking, which is odd since these trucks can make huge power and have a lot of mass. Anyhoo, someday I would like to upgrade my brakes so they could shed massive amounts of energy and thought others might be interested.

Well, I kinda answered my own question. I shot them an email and this is what happened.

Me:
I would like to know if you have big brake kits for 1994-1997 Dodge ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 trucks. Is each kit a custom job? There are no brackets listed in the big brake kit, will these be included?

Dieselfiltersonline:
Andrew,
Yes, each kit would be custom and take about 8 weeks. Any needed brackets would be supplied.

Thank you,
Rich Deary

I think it would be thousands cheaper to find an axel out of a newer (00-02) truck and put the bigger 3rd gen stuff on it.

you can also swap over the ford stuff. There's a write up somewhere on hear about how to do the swap on the outer hubs, brakes and steering linkage.

They didn't say anything about the price in the email, but on the site there are three kits listed that differ in rotor diameter and thickness. The kits are from $4,000-$4,400. I don't know how they can put a fixed price on custom kits.
