BHAF template
I downloaded and printed the template(nice job to whomever did that )
I cut it out and taped it together and have a question.
It seems that A2 to A3 doesn't seem to fit together properly. Did anyone else notice this and what did you do? I taped A4 to B4 and then lined the rest up the best I could but before I cut on my $$$ piece of stainless, I'd like to know if there is a better way. On that note, what guage of material has been known to be effective? I'm thinking 14 guage is what I'll be using.
Thanks.

I remember having to adjust a little to get it all to line up.
It doesn't need to be exact.
The only place you need to worry about is the little cutout in the back, on B2 and B3.
If that is off, it will rub your AC lines the wrong way.
No idea what guage mine is, but it's about 1/8 inch thick aluminum sheet.
Many have used your standard Diamonplate, whatever thickness that is, and it works great.

I had to adjust the template also...but the finished product came out great. I used 1/8" aluminum also.
IIRC, the brackets on Phox's heatshield were installed to keep the BHAF from floating around. Some sort of strap is used.
I didn't incorporate the brackets, I'm using a long heavyduty tie wrap to hold the filter in place.

Phox, I was looking at your pictures. Nice ride!! On the BHAF shield, what are the 2 pieces of angle on the bottom for? I vaguely remember reading something about that somewhere but can't find it.
Thanks.

They really aren't needed as there is no room for the BHAF to move with the hood down.
