BHAF Install

Just finished installing BHAF with heat shield from template out of tech facts on this website. Went pretty well but was wondering if anyone else has had a clearance problem with the hood. Doesn't appear to be major just noticed a dimple on the expanded metal guard around the filter.

Your bolts for the factory airbox, are you using them? Just wondering if maybe it's "sitting up" a little or something.
My filter should be here in a few days, I just traced out my heatsheild tonight. I will let you know if I notice any fitment issues.

Yes I not only used the original airbox bolts but thought perhaps I could use the original rubber bushing nuts also. That is undoubtly causing me some clearance problems.

Mine is close with the bushing nuts but not actually hitting. I have a piece of foam rubber sitting at the uppermost end and it is flattened some but not too much...I think I have a pic in my gallery.

No problems with fitting on mine. Clears the hood with plenty of room... I just got to add a bit more bend in mine... It rattle against the turbo...

1 thing everyone forgets until it is too late.......get a piece of rubber fuel hose cut it down the middle and put it over the A/C line under the BHAF close to the firewall. if you do not do this the BHAF will eventually wear thru the A/C line causing all your freon to leak out......
