BHAF heat shield question

Hi guys...

I put in a BHAF last night and I printed out the template. My question is the scale on the template. It looks like each one of the blocks on the grid should probably be 1/4" but they are actually slightly less than this. This makes a difference of an inch or two over the entire length. Have y'all just made the template off of the printed out pages or have you drawn it up on grid paper that actually has 1/4" blocks? Thanks for the help.

Matt

I just printed it out exactly as it is from the file on the server here, then taped 'em all together, cut it out like a paper doll and put it on the metal I used to make the shield. Worked fine.

Thank you....that sounds great to me!

b.t.w. I purchased the Napa 2790 filter which I read here was about $47. I got the filter at dealer discount and paid $23.67 after tax. Just a heads up...maybe that will help some people save some $ for other upgrades!

That is a nice discount. Did you know the guys there or something? Every time I seen people use the template it was just print and tape.

Yep, just print and tape....worked fine on mine. It was a little tight near the a/c lines, but once secured with the factory airbox rubber grommets and plastic hardware it sits just fine. Also, the bend is not 90*...it needed to be around 100* to 105*
Good price on that NAPA filter too
