I've been running pro comp all terrains for the pass 2 years up here in New England and
I've been happy with the results. I'll easily get another year out of them. I won't hit 50m
but I'll sure hit 35m at least. Watch for specials buy 3 get 1 free or free shipping.

Try the cooper stt's they are really nice off the road, and look nice on our trucks.. Right now i went the cheapy route, (college will do that to you) BGF at's are nice tires, wore very well on my truck and the libbys (liberators) from wally world have been put thru mud, sand, rocks, and lots of highway miles already for 400 bucks they hold up quite well, yet no 305s or 315s are available. I have Bridgestone MTS for dear season, Not too fond of the racket, vibration and why do i wanna use up these high traction tires on the highway? nah... The courser tires look nice, and i have a friend that runs them, not many problems with them, and he goes off road a bit.. mainly off road i mean ranch roads, county roads and so forth, which is my majority of offroad too.. Give them a whirl.. im happy with libbys, not too bad for teh price either.. Beer economics for me right now!

Well. Bit the bullet this morning, and went and bought a set of 285/75/r16 mastercraft courser c/t's. So far i love the way they look on the truck, and i think they will do decent off road. I just hope i can get a few miles on them before im ready for new ones. Ill find out i guess. Right now im happy i bought them. Hopefully i can get at least 45k out of them or so.

MT/R's!
I have just short of 60,000km on my MT/R's and they're about half worn, most of this towing a 10k TT in the summer, the balance is carrying around the 8' blade in the winter, and have had no problems summer or winter with them, other than they throw mud all over the place, I really like mine, and I never was a fan of Goodyear tires, the only reason I went with them is the tire shop here had the 285's in stock and my Yokohama Geolandar's were shot. We had a set on each truck (99 previous to the 04 Dually) and mine and both were gone by 50K (the yokes were that is). my .02 and experience

The Army mainly uses Goodyear MT/R's on it's HMMWV's. I can attest that they do do well in Mud, but I've never seen a set last longer than 20,000 miles. Granted they get used hard sometimes, but the HMMWV is a much lighter vehicle than your truck (about 5000-6000 lbs) therefore I think that should balance out. I do not know about the BFG's personally but have heard many good things about them.

I ran BFG A/Ts (32/11.50R15) on a Cherokee a few years ago and they were terrible. Noisy, no traction in mud, sand or on wet pavement.
I replaced those with MT/Rs (33/12.50R15)...all I can say is comparing these two tires is like comparing apples to jackstands.
The MT/Rs are quieter, provided much better traction all around, and I'm still running them (the 33s are now on my Rubicon) appox 50K miles.
I will be replacing the tires on my truck with MT/Rs when the time comes.
