I've never had to bleed mine.
What's yours doing that you need to bleed it?

Don't bleed it.

I thought the same thing when I installed mine The air will purge itself out by itself.

What are your pressures reading?

Don't bleed it. The air will gradually get dispersed by fuel.

OK. So no bleeding required. Got it. I just had the thought the like your brake system that if air is in those lines that the air will compress since brake fluid does not compress and give you soft pedal. I thought that applied to the FP guage since air could possibly throw off pressure readings.

Pressure is measured the same where it is air or fluid.

But, its a great question!

What are your readings?

The more air that you can keep trapped in the line the smoother the gage will be. I blow mine out occasionally to get the air back in.

My numbers are :

Idle - 9-11
Cruise - 6-8
WOT - 3

I got a dying pump. I plan on replacing it this weekend. The guage action is smooth and linear. The more pedal i give it the more the needle goes down.

Its a 3 beer and an hour job job for my "99". Remove the fuel filter housing and its alot easier. Be real carefull not to loose the sealing metal & o-rings, and don't overtighten anything. (or leave beer cans under da hood! ) Your numbers will be way up. Replace the fuel filter while you got the canister off.

Good luck!
