I have the same HP objective and concluded that the Super B turbo with 12cm waste gate is the best compromise of spool up and cooling for that range.

When I read this post title, the super B was just the one that popped into my head too. And It will give you a little more room to grow hp wise down the road too. Rated to 425 hp.

I like my garrett GT3782R with the 110 sized sticks. It will spool faster than the stocker, with way better top end power. I also plugged the wastegate hose, so I can pull more than 28psi of boost. I pulled 450rwhp on the 110's sticks and there is almost no smoke. My egt's would peak around 1200-1300 deg's pulling my 15000 lb RV on cruise control.

The twins that I'm running, I barely reach 1100 deg's and got another few ponies to boot.
