Best sounding exhaust?

I just got my truck a month ago,it's my first diesel. So far I love it besides the fuel prices jumped 50 cents already.Anyway I would like to make the exhaust a little louder without making it sound like a V-6.I have heard some that have a nice deep rumble to them.I don't really want it to be real loud, just a better sound.I also don't want to spend $400 on a whole new exhaust.THANKS

4" Straight pipe. Very throaty and loud. With stock exhaust just straight piped, you get a lot of popping noise. Oh yeah, even though we only have 6 cylinders, it sounds completely different than a gas 6 cylinder so you won't have to worry about that.

Re:Best sounding exhaust?

I am VERY happy with my 4" turbo back exhaust from SUmmit Racing. For $299 it is a bargain. It's not too loud but when you step on it it'll let everyone know you aren't stock.

John

Re:Best sounding exhaust?

I just took the muffler out of mine and left the resonator and am real happy with it. Cost was just a piece of pipe, adapters and clamps. I think Genos has a kit for this.

Check out this link to see how it sounds. WARNING: big file for you dial-up guys :-[

Jim

Re:Best sounding exhaust?

I have a Jannetty Racing 4" turbo back exhaust with muffler. It sounds really strong without being too loud. It's 14 ga.aluminized steel which makes it more durable and fairly easy to install. Only a couple of hangers need to be welded to the pipe. Only $499.00
