Best place to get injectors.

Coming into a good bit of "truck money" soon and want to know which injectors to get and where to get them. The plan is to switch from a BHAF to an afe stage2 when I order the injectors. Also going to do tranny at same time, not looking for a sled puller just one that wont burn down, Should I go with a BD exchange deal or something else. Thanks ahead of time.

Another choice would be Formula 1 injectors. I have the Mach 4's and loving every drive. You would need a turbo upgrade before running too hard with the 4s. I got mine at www.powerbypoole.com. As I said I'm really enjoying my set up, hopefully it will get even better. I will be installing a Hotrod VP 44 next week.

Regards,
Gene

Cost is a big part of my decision making process. So when I saw that I could go with the RV275's for 1/2 the price of the smallest F1 injectors, I figured it would be the best bang for the buck. Maybe they aren't even in the same league, I don't know, but I know my truck will blow a bit of black smoke and it sure gets up a lot quicker than it used to... I got my injectors, gauges, and VanAaken box all from www.DieselManor.com . They not only price matched, but beat prices by at least $10, and shipped it for free.

I run 275's and an Edge EZ which put my clutch over the edge and was slipping, resolved that problem and now can upgrade for towing probably to the 1.6's that Don offers. There is a major difference between best bang for your buck and being cheap and expecting the same results. Laser honed injectors and stock Bosch 275 injectors are totally different and the price difference reflects this. Overall my 275's have worked excellent but the reality is 1.6 laser honed will refine the combustion and tuning of my injection resulting in a cleaner burn and a power upgrade. If you are on a limited budget you buy a Neon to drive but you cant possibly expect Chrysler 300 comfort for Neon prices. PK

Well said!
Sodbuster, you need to decide where and how far you intend to go... hp wise. That's hard to do and many of us have been wrong in our projections.
275's are a great buy, but many have upgraded and had to spend more down the road.
F-1's Mach injectors are custom design and the lattest technology. As a rule they will keep you happier longer... in case the HP bug hits you too!

If your getting your tranny done to handle more HP... the 100 hp, Mach 1.6's are an excellent compliment to your Comp. They will help with EGT & smoke control....but do save out some money for a turbo....you'll need one!

Far as how far I wanna go with hp, I'm wanting about as much as I gan get without losing driveability and reliability. Turbo is in the plans as well, Thanks for all the info.

Hello
I'll add my .02 I have had Don's Mach 1.5's for over a year now and love them. Great power, little to no smoke and they did help mileage slightly. However, since upgrading my turbo recently I am now considering the Mach 4's very seriously, and will probably get them as soon as the budget allows. Another vote here for Don's injectors!

In that case... go straight to Mach 4's and control temps with your foot, till you get the turbo. You won't be sorry!
It's JMO, but I feel 500 hp is about the limit for a daily driver/work truck with an automatic and a big single turbo... and still have good street manors.

Some have gone higher but it takes a cam change and a few other expensive add ons. At my level, and with an adjustable box, I can haul at gross weight on back roads and major hwys with only minor EGT or smoke concerns!

With twins, I'd say 600 is easily doable.

This is highly subjective and as I say...just my opinion.
