IMO... they have a great kit and explain the kit very well. You can get a boost, pyro, and tranny temp gauges and all needed equipment including the 36" of fuel line and a Diesel Manor t-shirt for around $330. Almost did it myself last night... then I figured I ought to hold off til next pay check.

GO ahead and grind ur fuel plate for free and save that $200 for some dv's or injectors. I just put some 181 dv's in and they help with low end power noticably. But for u just put some big ones in like laser cuts. I just got mine cheap and want to be able to support bigger injectors.

OK, I've got gauges on order, a #8 plate on the way and a 3gsk kit.
Sounds like that will wake the truck up a bit from what I'm reading.
Any advice as I move forward. Like I said I'm good with a wrench and have a machinist background. I don't have access to a lathe or mill right now. And diesels are completely new to me.

Sounds good. Just follow the directions carefully and you should be good. I'd suggest you check/adjust your governor arm while you're changing the fuel plate. And don't expect too much from the mods. Although they are nice mods, you don't want to have an over-expectation for the gains.
