It will but you need a radiator out of a 3rd gen also to make it work. The piping on the intercoolers are different between a 2nd and 3rd gen. Hellman built the stuff on my cousins 2nd gen truck and I have been trying to get him a 3rd gen radiator so he can run the 3rd gen cooler. A stock 3rd gen is bigger and flows better than the ones on the 2nds and thats why people are wanting to convert. And when you get into the aftermarket coolers the ones for the 3rd gens are better than the ones i have seen available for the 2nd gens.

First time I have ever heard this.
Got any proof of this info?
i have heard of guys going from the 3rd gen. to a 2nd gen. Because the 2nd gen intercoolers are all aluminum. Some of the 3rd gens are plastic end tanks.

The plastic tanks were only on one year model I believe. As far as flow charts for proof I don't have any, this is just info that i have been told. I do know that the cooler on my 01 is smaller than the one on my 03. i do know that down here a lot of folks are trying to get radiators and coolers off of 3rd gens for their 2nd gens. That is something i do know.
