Best clutch
I am going to be ordering the clutch for my nv4500 conversion in the next few days, and i was wondering what you think the best clutch for the price is? i have heard that the luk pro gold is a good clutch and rated to about 450HP, i can get one for $325, i have also heard really good things about south bend, but they are quite a bit more, any other suggestions? thanks.

Go with south bend you can order it here from DTR call larry he had it to me in like 3days and southbend's customer service is GREAT!! it is well worth the extra money. but what ever you do stay away from Valair. I just installed my SB con-fe upgrade and I LOVE IT!!!!! but get the upgraded hydrolics also

I'd say South Bend hands down, great product, and even better customer service. I just recently had a situation where a shop installed my clutch A** Backwards. They took it apart 3 maybe 4 times to find out what was wrong. They said just needed to be broken in. One week later and the clutch was shot. Peter sent me out a new clutch free of charge, all i had to cover was the shipping. The Dual Disk is in and this thing will not slip, no matter how hard I try.

When I did my swap I put in a SB CON FE. I could have gotten a cheaper clutch, but I figured do it this one time and get the best. I used stock hydraulics, from the dealer, cause I could get it cheaper than through SB. My friend put a Con FE in his 3rd gen, and put in the upgraded hydraulics. They looked exactly like my stock stuff wrapped in some pretty silver loom. In fact I've heard the 3rd gen upgrade hydraulics are actually stock 2nd gen stuff.

I have about 50K miles on my SB clutch without a single issue. I don't beat the heck out of it but I don't baby it either. It definitely hurt my wallet when I paid for it but in the long run its worth it.
