Best chip/programmer towing
Whats up from colorado guys....I own a 2001 dodge cummins skyjacked, exhaust, intake, glacier fuel system. I just started my own hotshot courier service and am doing a TON of towing. All my buddies own edge chips and they love the performance. I'm looking for towing performance. I need the fuel mileage, the hp, the torque etc. Really not looking to smoke any cars stop light to stop light just want the towing performance, can anybody help me?

if its a manual as I would go smarty or possible new adrenaline just because low end is stronger. On a auto its a little diffrent the smarty just makes a 5 or 6 spd alot more fun to drive because it makes the power band so much larger.

alrighty so is there a dif between like the edge where there is a module there that you can consistently switch modes unlike the ones that you just plug in and take off? Seems like the adrenaline or the smarty are pretty consistent with those of you who have responded. Where is the best place to buy this stuff? The ultimate goal is fuel mileage and performance through the rugged rocky mountain hills around here with an automatic transmission.

Another vote for Juice w/ attitude. Comes with all the guages you need and has safty features that defuel the truck should things get too hot. Also you can adjust it on the fly. So you can have it set high for everyday driving and then turn it down with a simple push of a button to tow heavy. Very versatile.

I think it would be hard to beat the Adrenaline for towing. Not only does it make plenty of power down low, but it is a nice, smooth powerband. And all the beta testers said the high egt defueling is unlike anyone elses. Say you set it to defuel at 1250*, it might hit 1300 for a second, and then you can see the gauge drop to 1250 and stay there, but the power doesn't drop off dramatically like the others. I think that would be awesome for towing. Talk to JLent, hes beta testing one and he tows real heavy for work.

well the big question no one has asked is trany work? how much are you planing to do, or have you done? for someone just looking for towing thats it i like the XZT+ with a set of sticks, id go with mach 1.6's and a new TC and VB for the trans, that should get u great milage and is a towing setup. if mach 1.6's are going to be to hot you might want to go down to mack 1s or 275's. theres my vote
