No offense... but we're back to "almost sounds too good to be true".
The BD twin package comes with a 4" downpipe... but the 3 pc manifold is not included in the twins kit and is a separate $400+ item?????

FYI - Homeontheroad.org lists PN 1045320 for 94-02. BD lists PN 1045310 for 94-98's????
According to BD.. #1045320 is for 98.5 - 02 24v's.
I don't know squat about 12v's so not sure what the difference is but you might want to check into it... depending on which part # you have ordered?

Not trying to be negative...just trying to help avoid unpleasant surprises done the road.

Good Luck

Yes, I would say I'm back to the stock turbo sound. Been away from stock for a while... but that's probably about right!
Have not tested with & without Scotty II hole to see if boost or EGT's are different, but without the hole, and with a TAG, the turbo whine is very low!

1045310 is what I have on order from jegs
HOTR.org is a little screwy on there sight.

No offense taken, it is a 4", they should put the 4 and 5 a little further apart on the keyboard

only the 3rd gen kit comes with the exhaust manifold unless you order it.

Excellent
I thought I got a pretty good deal on mine. Should have looked around harder.... but the truth is... after driving with BD twins for 60 days... I would pay full retail, if I had to!

I know you will love em.

Thanks for the web page. Very good price indeed. They show the manifold in the pic ...

Wow, looks like it does come with the exh. manifold. Here is an excerpt:

"The kit is complete with a SS X Intake, exhaust and intake piping, oil drains, heat shields and the 2003-2005 application even comes with a 3-piece pulse exhaust manifold to bolt on."

Wow, that is a deal!

I believe Piers racing twins are bigger, which means (just like single turbos) spool a little slower and pull a little harder on the top end.

The BD's are considered "smallish" as twins go...but I can tell you they work very well around 600 hp, and for heavy towing, will solve any EGT concerns at 500 hp and below!

RJ
The piers racing twins have a big brother as a primary do they not? That is a monster turbo. That is mainly for 12v with 800+.The street set is a 3b for up to 700 I think. These would kill the bds on the top end.Probably spools a little slower though.

Well, I dyno'ed on the way to VA Beach to Timinva's to get my double disk clutch and hot rod VP44. Best HP was 534.48 & 977.88 TQ with Edge Comp 5x5 and Smarty on Sw8. Best TQ # was 984.46 TQ which yielded 517.13 HP with Edge Comp 5x5, stock ecm programming. This was with a dying VP that I was happy to make it to VA Beach on. HRVP and SB twin disk update upcoming......

I'll dyno again after clutch is broken in to see benefits of HRVP.

Twins kept it very cool on a hot day. Had to let it warm to op temp on each pull. Never saw boost over 50 on the dyno.

You are correct, I missed that. It was a little deceiving the way that page was written with that description on the 98.5-02 twins page. Good catch. Still a very good price on the 98.5-02 kit.

That's basically what Tim told me. It was grabbing nicely when I got back to town after the 4 hour drive home. Didn't have any clutch rattle last night but picked up a little when I got into town. Heck, I kinda like it! Not really very loud at all. No camming out of the HRVP yet.... .....only kidding, I can go either way on that. Right now the idle is silky smooth.....nothing wrong with that. It is also rock solid steady on the rpm's where my dying pump was jumping all over the place.
