head is o-ringed and studded(ARP's)... I can exceed 60psi without really thinking about it even after letting out the wastegate a bit. I think I could make close to 70 if I tightened the wastegate fully but I believe I'm already running past the efficiency range of this set.

I was seeing over 55psi with 100hp injectors, TST Comp and a Smarty... I don't know anyone who is running these twins who is at 52psi.
Lots of factors on when head studs only or when studs and rings are needed. If you keep your cylinder pressures down you'll be fine with just studs. I usually err on the side of caution and if you have the ability(cash and truck downtime) do both. You'd hate to pop a gasket and then be in a bind...

I had BD twins first and thay were good for towing and spool good but thay got hot when I put my 200 inj in like 1700 degs I didnt wont to melt my motor down . Looked around at all the twin makers and called them all . The set I got is from Bullseye power 231-788-5209 thay sold me the pipeing kit with a s475 and i put the BD B1 turbo on top it was DAY and NIGHT from the small bottem turbo that was in my BD twin set . The spool up was about the same. Then I sold the BD twins and got my HTT 62 65 ss13 from HTT and this turbo fit with there twins set up no new pipes to buy . I will say that with The ss 13 htt in my setup the spool up is alot faster than my BD top turbo was. Bullseye power gave me a good deal on my S480 with race cover and it fit there kit also NO NEW PIPES TO BUY . Long story short if you wont something that can grow with you and what you wont to do with your truck look around frist and make sure you get what will work the first time . I would have saved alot of time and $$$ if did more looking around the first time good luck looking

That’s a loaded question… from factory ratings, the TST Comp is supposed to make up to 180hp... on a stock H.O. pump that number just isn’t possible. It’s my opinion that the Smarty/TST Comp stack will make more power than the J/A by itself.
No idea… should be in excess of 550 at the wheels if not approaching 575… I base those numbers off of my brothers truck which has the same mods as mine except a single sledpuller 66 and Mach 6’s… he has put down 613 to the wheels on Floor-It Diesel’s dyno.
when everything is turned on, it’s a wicked ride that’s for sure.
Agree; educate yourself on the limitations of anything you buy but make sure you look at the positives as well… BD’s towing twins will do exactly what they say and they’re not marketed to the high horsepower crowd. They’re also well packaged and 100% complete in the box ready to install.
But be cognizant that your plans may change… I didn’t intend on going with the Mach 5’s when I got the twins. I knew what I was buying when I bought them and have no regrets.
I think BD would sell a heck of a lot of the R700 upgrades if they would officially release them for 2nd Gens. I would upgrade mine if I wasn’t getting married this fall.

What's the compressor wheel size on these turbos? Or the racing version BD twins? On smaller and bigger? I mean the cold side, but if someone knows, tell me the exhaust wheel sizes as well...

As Diesel dummy stated, you need a larger primary. I think that the BD twins setup is two S300 turbo (S358 over a S366, a guess). The S366 max flow is around 80lbs/min, which is around the 500 to 600 rwhp area (you lose some air flow in twin operation). They work good for 90 percent of the people out there. My current setup is a garrett 3788R over a S475 with some tweaks done to each turbo. I bet that it will spool as fast or faster than any BD twin set-up
Just drag out the welder, it can be done as well or better and for less money.

I love My BD towing twins but like stated I've grown out of them too. I can keep mine cool with My Mach 5's depending on what tunes I run. A pull from 60 to 120mph on the highway with the Comp2 tune in the ADR and sw4 or6 on the smarty I will only hit about 1400* tops. I plan on upgrading to the R700's soon.
And for who asked the top turbo is a 57mm and the bottom is a 66mm.
