Stake,<br><br>No, it takes about 5 seconds or so for the tach to die. I haven't tried to launch immediately after I flip the switch (while the tach is still stuck) to see if it's in Race mode... I always wait until the tach drops. I get the Check Engine light as soon as I flip back to either of the regular modes.<br><br>John

Although I did not get to run mine long ( see me previous post) it allows as much boost as you can take to be made while staging. Before the truck would actually surge, as if you kept pushing up and down on the peddle, while attempting to build boost. The ecm would actually cut fueling in and out to keep torque levels down. And this would also occur throughtout 1st and 2nd gear. I switch modes while running in gear and out of gear and my tach freezes instantly at the idle rpm. Fred
