Question Banks Power-Pack questions

Is the Banks Power-Pack a module or a programmer?

Also, can this set-up be "stacked" with anything else?

If so, any suggestions?

My brother has this on his 02 6-speed and wasn't sure if he can stack for more power. He wants the truck faster but still able to tow heavy. Also, something that wont hurt fuel mileage. His truck gets great mpg now.

Thanks

the "power pack" uses the ottomind fuel calibration module, which is a fancy way of saying it's a timing/fueling box. not sure about stacking on the older trucks, but you may be able to stack one of the older Van Aaken boxes that plugs into the back of the pump, or you might be able to run a downloader such as a superchips microtuner??? never tried either one personally, but just a thought??? someone else will surely chime in that has tried a stack, let us know & good luck, Dusty

I have the Ottomind (w/level5 program), wiring harness and gauges off my 01 6 speed. I'll sell him cheap. I never tried stacking anything though. The power pac also came with 4" exhaust, turbo elbow, bighead wastegate, intake manifold, and 14cm exhaust housing.

Thanks for the info guys. After we went for a test drive in a 99 with the Edge (juice), we were convinced that he needed more power. That 99 was wayyyy faster than my brothers. It was an auto, but it had the same tall gears my brothers has. I don't know if he would buy any more Banks stuff. not too impressed with his power. He would like to stack or go with a whole new set-up.

CDT Niel, I'll PM you thought.

It should be stackable with the even numbered Smarty programs.

That's probably what he'll do. I've read a lot about various programmers/modules, but I only have limited experience with Banks and one ride with an Edge powered truck.

Thanks for the info

I tried it when I had my Stinger box ( Ottomind box - Stinger program) it did not work well. The box seemed to defuel on high boost.
