banjo bolt on return line, help please

I installed bigger injectors today and had a leak at one of the banjo bolts (pretty bad one) with the u shape washers. will this cause hard starting or is it the injectors? once up and running it runs fine just leaks. Im gonna fix it tomorrow but worries. any help?

Yes it will cause hard starts because you are letting air into the system.

What banjo bolt is it? Yes it will be hard to start with any leak in the fuel system because you loose pressure between restarts. That means the injector pump has to "prime" the fuel system again and push the air out the injectors.

The "U" shaped washers under the banjo bolts are on the fuel return manifold this is your excess or unused fuel return form the injectors.

if its a return line leak it will not cause hard starts. that is a no pressure part of the system after your restriction(restrictions cause pressure), it will just leak fuel on its way back to the tank, which is expensive. but from what it sounds like its the drain for unused fuel from the injectors, it meets the return from the injector pump at the back at the block.

You are completely wrong.
It is losing prime.
Do a search and learn something before posting.

There were 4 posts and 3 of them said that he will lose prime from a leaky return line. THEN you get 1 guy who says NO. This subject has been covered MANY times. People need to do more searching. If you type in return line in the search you get 2 pages back. THIS is using titles only!

I had 3 leak when I changed my injectors. After screwing around with new washers and not getting the leaks stopped I finally pulled the return line off and cleaned it up with emory paper. No more leaks.

It did start OK with them leaking though. Not that I want to get into this little debate. Just stating facts.
