Thumbs down Bad fuel filter

Man, I put in a new fuel filter today. The old one was soooo dirty, when I slid my finger in between the fins I had a fingertip full of what looked like grease. No more runnin TC3W 2 cycle for me. has anyone elswe experienced this from 2 cycle, or do yall think it was just overdue? And shoud I clean then screen under the lift pump. yall please let me know what you think, Ill clean my scrren tomorrow if yall think its necessary.

I run the same oil with no build up. Filter looks clean when I change it. I change fuel filter at every oil change.

Yeah, probably just from waiting to long. I didn't think about it but I have run the truck out of fuel twice on this filter, that can't help. I did notice truck truck idled quieter using 2 cycle, guess Ill see if thats it next filter change then.
