Bad Boost Leak
Just installed my gauges the other night and with a Drag Comp, 150 hp sticks, and a Edge boost elbow I am only hittin 28 psi. I was told I should be hittin more than that. So I checked my intake horn and grid heater gaskets, and made sure all of my boot clamps were tight. The fittings for my boost line were sealed with thread sealer. I don't know where else to look. I don't if this is normal or if it matters but I can hear a sound coming from my boost gauge. Not real loud but I can hear something in there. Any help would be appreciated.

Pressurizing the system and going after it with a spray bottle of warm soapy water works great.
In order to do this you will need an air compressor with a regulator, and will have to fab up essentially an end cap to fit over your turbo inlet. I posted on this a while back and walked through it all on that. Your local hardware store should have what you need. 4" rubber boot (id), 4" pvc pipe 4" long, 4" pvc cap, and one quick disconnect.
Take the inlet hose from the air filter to the turbo off, affix the gadget to it, crank down on the hose clamps that should come with the boot (this is now a pressurized fitting, where as in normal use, the inlet side to the turbo is in a vacuum state). Why do I know this? It will come chasing after you otherwise.
Hook up your air compressor, and regulate the pressure down to 10 psi. Then spray everything with the soapy water.
Good luck!
