B1B-B2 Twins Finally Finished!
I have finally finished my own custom set of B1B- B2 Twins. Wow!! I never realized that twins could make such a difference. At this time I would like to thank Rod Snaith at Wildcat Diesel for all the parts and advise to modify my truck.
1. B1B Quickspool Turbo
2. B2 Turbo
3. Don M. Mach 6 Injectors
4. Don M. custom grind cam
5. Don M. ported, polished, and o'ringed RV head.
I truely believe the head, cam, and injectors really made the difference. The B2 spools up really fast and 15 lbs of boost will kick it off. On level 1 on my TST PM 3 Comp my truck smokes less than it did on Mach 3's with a B1 at every throttle position. It is a much better daily driver and has tons more power. On level 5 my pyro will not exceed 1,200 degrees ay WOT and will absolutely fly. Level 9 is out of hand and the speedo passes 100 mph in a real hurry! On level 9 at WOT the smoke clears up completely at 60 lbs of boost. Mach 6's!
Again thanks to Rod for all the help. I will be posting results of Dyno and Dragstrip runs in the future.

That sounds like a real impressive setup. I am interested in seeing the results also, I think the track is where you will shine by the looks of it.

Chris,
The B1 has a wastegate but it is blocked off. I am using a Tial 46mm wastegate with a bar 1.1 spring which will waste off at about 15.5 psi and I have a regulator to tune that pressure. I have two blow-offs on the hard pipe into the innercooler to control the B2. Everything is awfully tight.

Chris,
The B1B Quickspool came with the wastegate closed with a screw in the bottom of the charger. Kurt Yardley sent it that way. My understanding is that the B1 wastegates weren't that good. My original setup had a single B1B and a 38mm Tial external wastegate. It worked really well so I carried that idea over to my twin setup. It made things more complicated but I guess I tend to complicate things. So far I'm really pleased with the results.

was just wondering --the B1 wastegate is a duallie, so I would think it would work great, but thinking & not knowing about the B1 and knowing what you know about the Tial is two different things--makes sense now to me on what you did-----I know that Maddog used his B1 wastegate and it worked--I was just curious---are you dumping it to help spool the B2 or is it a dump past the B2--chris

I don't see any extra crankcase vents in the pics either. Are you planning on any extra vents to keep blowby pressure from getting too high??
Are you using BD's adjustable BOV controller? Care to describe that setup some more & comment on it's usefulness?

If anyone is not using by-passed air from any kind of gate to help the big charger out then there wasting energy and boost capability from the big charger, I proved that one with back to back tests a long time ago.

I think I read somewhere where Maddog was running 100psi of boost. I don't have any extra vents for the crankcase because I'm only wanting to run 60 to 65psi boost max. Its been a little trouble with only 2 blowoff valves to keep boost below 65psi. I am watching the blowby very closely.
I am dumping the exhaust off the B1 into the B2. This picture should help.

mcevins--thanks for the clarification---what kind of blow offs are you using???
yes Jim I agree with you about the dumping boost outside vs helping to spool--chris
