Re:B1 Installed and its Awesome!
I feel the same way. I am sitting here looking at a dyno chart with my numbers and another fellows truck that has exactly the same parts except he has the DD turbo and a standard EZ rather than the B-1 and DD version of the ez like I have. The latter is notable because I dont have the 80 hp setting he used available to me, 65 is tops. Anyway in total hp its a wash, both of us ran a number of runs in the 410 to 420 hp range. The difference is that I am between 75 and 100 more hp all the way up to 2200 rpm where the DD turbo narrows the gap till they meet at 2600. From there the DD turbo holds on to its numbers longer and has a 50 hp advantage on the back side of the curve after the peak. Not 50 more peak hp, the peak is the same, the truck with the DD turbo and 80 hp setting just holds onto the power longer. The torque follows a similar curve with an 150 ft lb advantage all through the bottom and mid range. Those are real numbers folks. Not talk. Two trucks that are about as similar as you will find, both dynoed on the same dyno as I did this morning last winter at a dyno event held in the same establishment and having a 2hp difference in intial power (new, no mods) at the time. The other fellow dynoed 2 days ago and me this morning. The same dynometer as we did last year. Both of us made over a dozen runs. The kwikspool does exactly that, spools kwik. I have never been in a truck that spools faster than the one in my driveway right now. It spools faster than the stock turbo and if you have driven an 03 you know thats saying something. Truth be told I think if I had a standard ez with the 80 hp setting the B-1 would have held an advantage in overall power and beat the DD turbo on the backside as well. At this point you might be thinking Im down on the DD turbo. Not true. I wanted one bad because I drove in a truck with one and that was a sweet ride. I decided to get the B-1 because that wasnt available and Rod/Kurt promised me if I wasnt satisfied they would take it back. No questions asked. At this point I would pull my gun if they tried to take it back. Im guessing as more of these things get installed the word is going to get out. These things flat work. One last thing, Wildcat is top notch. When I first set this in motion 3 months ago it was pretty much experimental for an 03 and getting everything going in the right direction was no small feat as we ran into a number of situations and customer care was a good as it gets.

I never shipped it anyway...I knew it would not be needed, just wanted to read the facts first.

Re:B1 Installed and its Awesome!
Lay'd some good hard runs down this morning, its finally dry out to really hold the truck on hard. This morning with the temp around 50 and the cowel hole shut on the scotty 2 I was hitting 1300 spike then pulling back to 1200 and holding, maybe its time for some bigger injectors Don!

What boost do you run with that setup? Now that there is enough traction to put a load on it ?
Seems like a good addition.

Head gasket alert! Head gasket alert!
You are now on the threshold of o-ring land.
Jamie, be especially careful on cold starts and heavy throttle...now that our winter is moving in, you will make your head gasket even more susceptible to damage. Make sure that engine is fully warmed up before anything past 1/2 throttle. You might as well start planning ahead for your head. ;D

Re:B1 Installed and its Awesome!
Truck is going away tomorrow. So there will be no highballing it in the winter. I have made sure I was all the way warmed up before I get into the throttle. Rod made sure to tell me that I know its on borrowed time but I need all the time I can get for this one!

Re:B1 Installed and its Awesome!
Jamie,
If you are going to stay under 50 psi of boost.
I do not suggest O ringing, unless you absolutely want it done.
Your stock 24valve gasket with properly torqued bolts will hold alot.
Most of the time a stock headgasket with start letting go once the factory bolts relax, after a certain amount of hard usage even it is under 40psi.
Also, if you would like more info.
I would call Van Haisley @ Haisley Machine.
