I have a 97 2500 4x4 with auto tranny its geared 3.55, one of my friends has a 01 2500 4x4 6 speed with 4.10s and he is interested in swaping axles. I mainly drag race and every once in awhile sled pull. Would the 4.10s help me out or not???

Drag racin no sled pullin yes. I had to go with 35s to get some top end with my 410s and an auto. I can get 126mph at 3400rpm with 35s and 410. But if your gonna turn higher rpm like 4000 the the 410s should be fine. Really it depends what tire size you want to run too.

Im putting a 4000 or 5000 gov spring in eventually and running 285 tires. The tracks around here are 1/8 mile so i figured 4.10s would help?

You will be better then because his is the dana 80. Im not shure if everything on them line up and such but its definately better for the higher power than your dana 70 is. It should have disc brakes on it to.

When I went from 3.55's to 4.10's with 35" tires, it felt like it was slower while empty. Towing was much nicer. 4.10's seemed like they didnt load the motor enough.
