everyone knows that every truck is different all you can do is draw from your own experience ive held mine at 1300-1400 post turbo several times for way past when the experts said it would melt when i pulled my head to fire ring it everything looked good as new the engines are tougher than we think they are

Another common thing that throws off pyro readings is of the probe hole has been tapped too deep. This will cause the probe tip to bottom out in the hole, and the readings will be low because the manifold is much cooler than the exhaust it contains.

This isn't very common, so don't think you did this unless you don't know which end of a drill the bit goes in.

Our trucks are pretty similar mod wise, BHAF, silencer ring. Mine temps before the puck were around 500-600 cruisin at 70mph, under a load up a large hill near home with heavy foot would get up around 900. Loaded around 1k and pulling a large mountain with 12,000lbs behind me saw it hit 1250.

With my puck on there I still see around 600 cruisin, pulling the same hill near house I can hit 1K easily. Heck, even taking off quick playing around I can hit 900-1K pretty easily. Have not had a real good load on it since I installed the puck though.

Thanks guys for this info....looked at the exhaust manifold and sure enough, it's pre-turbo. I've still got so much to learn about these engines/trucks and the help on this site is fantastic!

Ive actually tried both (on the bare metal and to the battery)
It reads the same either way.
Im thinking the juice might be bad because when I select the different levels (1 2 3 4 5 is fine) but when I put it on 0-stock it displays whatever i drove on less (it never reads 0) im going to call them in the morning and see whats going on with it.
