An exhaust brake is a device used on our engines that helps use the engine to slow the truck down. It is usually used when towing heavy loads. The exhaust brake is basically a butterfly valve located after the turbo in the exhaust pipe that partially blocks the exhaust's path creating back pressure thereby using the drive train to slow the truck.
