Auto-meter fuel gauge
Hey fellas, my brother is looking for a fuel gauge for his 2002 2500 CTD. He is looking at Auto-meter. Does he need 0-30 psi capability, or is 0-15 psi good enough on a stock truck? Thanks a bunch, Colby.

I have the 0-15 psi Auto Meter gauge and wish I would have bought the 30. Most of the time idle pressure stock LP is 16psi on my truck so yes I'm pegging the needle but there is no stop at 15psi it just keeps rolling foreword, so I guess as long as your not running higher than say 18psi the 15 will work but always plan for the future.
Get the 30
Good luck.

Autometer mechanical fuel pressure guages are availible in 0-15 and 0-100. 0-30 is an electric guage Their z series matches the dash pretty well. 0-30 would be ideal, but 0-15 will git-r-done.

I would get a 30. This way the needle will stay in mid-range where it belongs under normal operating conditions. And, I am using an autometer mechanical 35 psi gauge myself. $7 at Surplus Center, only it says "water" instead of "fuel". Doesn't matter to me and it works just fine.
