I want auto-laser/missle firing mirrors for those folks who come up behind me and can't figure out what that bright blue light on their instrument panel is trying to tell them.
"Hellooooooo your high beams are on"..........
Isn't that why they're called "Idiot Lights"? :

Re:Auto dim tow mirrors.

Auto dimming would be excellent. I have the old style 4-legged mirrors and like them well enough, but something to cut the glare at night would be great.
With the technology of LCD windows becoming more available, it would seem not too difficult a task.

Maybe meanwhile a window tint film could be selected that wouldn't darken the mirror much, but would help the glare.
I have a buddy that is very knowledgeable in that field, I'm going to run it by him.

There may be someone on here with such expertise, what do you think?

Mount a set of Hella 550's to the rear bumper. Hook it to a toggle, and when they don't dim, let them have it right back. They get the idea real fast. 8)

I was just wondering why they don't have them... that would be a great feature! ;D Or two 50 cals in the bed w/ an auto dropping tailgate...... ;D

Tony
