You probably already know but make sure you go through 3-4-5 torque cycles with those new studs/nuts before your final torquing.

Are they a older set of studs? The new one have shorter studs on the rocker arm pedestals, I thought .200 but don't hold me to that. The old ones like mine have a interference problem with the valve covers.

I just machined a set of rocker pedastals 2 weeks ago . The instructions I had were to mill .200" off 1" back. I hope this helps. They are tough on endmills though. Good luck!

Ive heard of people grinding out the webbing in the top of the valve cover to accomodate the extra height of the studs. Would that help here, rather than lowed the rocker pedestal?

They make an older syle set that hits the valve covers and a newer style that are shorter but you have to mill off some of the rocker arm pedestals.
