if ur talking about the peice im thinking of its so ucan put the new plate in the same place as the old plate when u pull ur afc housing off u put that piece on and bolt it down next to ur old plate and when u pull ur old plate off u can set the new one in the same place just line it up with the metal piece u bolted down but in my opinion u dont need it just slide it all teh way forward unless u tow alot then i think everyone will tell u to put it in the stock pos or just slightly forward i guess its really up to u and how u drive and if u tow alot as to where u put it the afc housing and the star wheel

i installed mine where the stock plate was. used the guide. AFC all the way forward. pyro runs up to about 1250 if i hit it hard and stay in it. best boost i saw was 32 psi. I'm impressed. works great, sure woke the truck up . of course this is flat land running empty on a 35*F day.

Once you get the breakoff screw replaced you don't even have to take off the intake horn the next time.

You can change the boost and performance by adjusting the gov. arm up or down.
