Talking Anyone test their truck for SPL???

Just wondering if any other rammers have done some SPL testing? I was out on the weekend and took home a free set of Pioneer subs curtesy of the local stereo shop after winning the comp they had.

I tested out at 141.1 with a track of 50 cycles.

Just wondering what everyone else is hitting? Plz no BS either I would like to know how close anyone else is or beyond what Im running.

3x JL audio 12 W3's with JL Slash Amps.

in my regular cab 01 gasser I hit 144.8 @ 45hz on all three runs at the 1st db drag I attended, got 1st place in my class (street 1-2)

that was with 1 Inhuman 12 in a 2 cube ported box tuned to 33hz and a soundstream rubi 702 (700 watts) powering it

second and only other db drag I attended was last summer with my ctd, I'm running 2 Elemental designs E8A 8" subs each in a 0.7 cube ported box tuned to 30hz. the pair is powered by my trusty old Rubi 702 again ...........

ran 140.4 db at 51hz, got my *** handed to me that day

some dude in a chevy astro with RE XXX 12's and a riprock hardcore 2000D (about 3500 watts at 1/2 ohm) pulled a 152.3

I run 4 12" AudioBahn AW1208T with 3 2300HCT totoally to about 6K watts. And using 1K for the highs. Subs wired down to 1ohm mono. We hit 161.3 db. NO LIE NO JOKE! All subs were in seperate 2cu.ft. boxes. Sealed. A friend of mine with 4 15" rockfords with all rockford products hit 155.8 right ofter me. SPL also has to deal with the pressure of the air. Just like on our trucks the colder the more the air expands the hotter the more the air thins out. So you also have to take that into effect. Im hoping next year we will hit 170 atleast. SPL is my sport next to DHRA

I need something like that so I can hear the dang radio over the turbo and the tire hum.

That KSB1 sounds like the dang Batmobile in the cab.....

If you got the money and 1 day I can have you asking me "What you say?" by the end of the day.

How are you configured for the box? Do you have a back seat? When I designed mine I made it downfiring to keep room in the back but I am thinking of changing it because of the fact that the woofers are really muffled by the floor there isn't much room and its tight as hell in there. Also my JL center seat cushion stlealth also fires right into the floor this setup is amazing for sound quality but not SPL by any means. I was never in it for the competition just sound quality myself. It is nice though that you guys are getting such high numbers really makes me question my I may not be? I might have to dig in a bit and have a look.

All of mine are faces forward. i dont like facing them downward cause you like you said they get muffled by the floor with you will deff. loose db that way. Yes will pull the back seat out and lay them across the back. I think this setup that we have going on right now is one of the best that we have done because its so clean at such a high notch. Ya I would think if you placed them facing foward or upward jst to get them out of the way fo the floor I think you would pick up a few more db.

Just a stupid question for Jamie,

How did you get 2-12's under the back seat? Any idea if it can be done in a Club Cab, not a Quad?

I really want 2-12's, but don't have the knowledge or a good shop around here to do it for me.

thanks,
Chris
