Anyone running a Powermax 3 w / stock turbo

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Powermax 3 to stack
with my Smarty and RV275 injectors. Going to keep the
stock turbo. Anyone have experience with this setup ?
How high of a level can I go to for shrt blasts. Powermax
will be turned off when towing

Probably level 3 or 4...that HO will only make about 90 extra ponies with a PM3. At least that's what everyone else is seeing

Im running the PM3 Comp/Smarty with 95hp injectors on my stock turbo. And when just doing some playing around in town its fine, but if I try to do a 1/4 mile drag it gets to 1600 deg. quick! I tow with the smarty on 3 and the TST on 4 or so and its fine as long as Im on level ground. Im about to get some more air for this thing and I think it should help alot.

I did for a while with my dd2's and stacked with an ez. Oh yeah.. that was with the hy-9 . I could hit 40lbs of boost in about half a second!!! She held pretty well but above 2500 rpms the temps were out of control on level 3. I had no problem breaking 35's loose on dry pavement in first and second gear though.

So from what everyone is saying , if I get
the Powermax 3 , even though it has 9 levels
I'll only be able to use level 3 or 4 ? Maybe I
should get the Powermax 2 which is equal to
level 6 , but without the adjustable remote and
save $150.00

I just installed a TST PM3 comp., with smarty and stock turbo. Put smarty on 5 and TST on 2. Half throttle, and my dad and I are lookin at each other like 'holy *&$#'. Huge difference, I didnt try any higher levels, but EGT's got to about 1100 pretty quick, I'm sure it could top 1400 easy. Also, I installed the boost elbow, but 22 psi was the highest I saw, wonderin if I should see more boost.

You should be able to run it on level 9. It will get HOT and quick. I ran a tst, power puck, and 90+hp injectors on the stock turbo for a long time. I usually drove with the TST off and turned it on when needed.

Beeram you should be seeing about 35 PSI. Check for boost leaks.

Helix2 + SW5 +TST9 + Mach1 + HX35 = 1600F EGT + SOP induced fun

Very little black smoke if you spool to 10 psi before you punch it, but a ton of grey smoke.

I have the comp version but I would atleast get the PM3. You want the remote and it gives you some room to grow. It's certainly worth the extra 150 bucks and with the HX-35 and an HO you'll be able to turn it up. HO's don't like boxes as well so level 6 for you might be like level 3 or 4 for me.

Go for it.

I've heard great things about the Vulcan Kit and I'd also through the draw straw in while you're at it.

Vulcan kit will git-r-done for sure, but a walboro kit should be a contender too.
If you bought a campain pump and a vulcan kit you could be done for less than $200, or a little more with the draw straw.

Nice setup- much different than the average bombed truck 'round here
But why spend all that money and leave the turbo stock??
Seriously though- how's that boost controller set up? I thought they were meant to help with lag and from the looks of it- you should have no lag
