Is anyone running a fuel additive?

Be it for fuel mileage or pump lubrication?

Schaffer's winterized. My local shop and everyone I know that owns a diesel uses it. Helps starting times especially in cold starts, I have only seen 2 mpg on my new truck but only 3 tanks of diesel threw it so far... My old 91 d250 got 21mpg with only an aftermarket filter in the stock box and removed muffler, 26 on highway( when I bought it 16 in town 20 on highway...) It actually helps reduce smoke at idle and under some power if you don't have a bombed truck. 2 oz per 9 gallons for your first tank do 4 oz per 9 gallons to clean everything

Here is a link to the additive study.

I run 2 stroke at a mix of 1 oz to 1 gal when I run regular diesel. I am going to try B20 for a while and see how that works. It is supposed to have more than enough lubrication. A little sip of Power Service Diesel Kleen at each oil change keeps everything clean. And a Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement toddy keeps the fuel flowing in cold temps.

Yup, I have seen that, which made me ask the question. What in that study makes somebody think 2 stroke is not good?

I don't think he was saying 2 stroke is bad, but that Opti-Lube is better.

I run Amsoil Intimidator 2 Stroke oil with every tank of fuel. After replacing my VP, I'm just being careful.

I just throw some used motor oil in now, rather than use power service like I used to.
