Anyone run these new Pro Comps?

Anyone run these? .... http://www.procomptires.com/xtrememudterrain.html

I am leaning toward the 285's for the winter.

I have been running these in the 315 size..... http://www.procomptires.com/allterrain.html . My current pro comp all terrains have been a great tire. The just don't have enough tread for my taste going into winter. I just want to try a little more aggressive tread pattern and a little skinnier for the coming snow season.

I drive over a 8200 foot pass a lot during the winter to get to my snow removal accounts. My current pro comps are great in the snow. But a little more aggressive tread might help in the deep stuff.... Plus pro comps offer buy 3 get one free until the end of this month...

I just ordered the extreme a/t's they are more aggressive but still have the better street compound. I was running x terrains for a while and they seem to wear weird on my truck unless i run low pressure. You cant beat the sale deal tho.

Dieselrob I think I will try the extreme a/t's myself http://www.procomptires.com/xtremeallterrain.html. They look very similar to my current pro comp a/t's but as you said a little more aggressive. I have been very pleased with the wear on my pro comps. What size did you get? I am going to try the 285's. My 315's are nice but I want a little skinnier tire for the snow. I will throw my 315's back on in the summer. I am at 23,000 miles on my 315 a/t's with 7/32 tread left. They come with 18/32. Post back and let me know how you like the extreme a/t's. Thanks for the response.

My last set was the Extreme AT. I got over 45k on them. They did well in all weather including the blizzard in Colorado last year. I didn't like the fact that they were directional (hard to rotate) and cupped a little. I just put a set of Extreme MT's on the truck this week. So far I love them. Very smooth. Not any louder then the AT's and very aggressive looking. We will see how they hold up over time.

I ordered my Extreme AT's tonight. Fort Ram even my 315's cupped a little and I rotated them every month. I will looking forward to the 285's.

Here is my truck right after I installed the 315's last year.

Pro Comp claims the 315's are 34.8 tall. My tape measure say's 33" when mounted. So the 285's that are rated at 33.1 tall will probably be 30 .... ha ha.

I never checked them to see how tall they actually are but i know they are huge next to my 245s that came on the truck. Im happy with the size.

I really can't complain. I put the 45k on in just over a year. I just couldn't rotate often enough, but still got great mileage out of them. I am driving less these days, so will see if I do better at rotating. It rained like crazy here today and the MTs drove right through it.

tires

Here is a shot of my new AT Extremes. I thought I was getting 285's but my tire guy ordered another set of 315's . So 315's it is...

Ride is excellent. And they are a 3 ply 3195 lb tire. My older Pro Comp AT's where a 2 ply tire...

Well i kinda forgot to get back to this thread because of long days workin. I put the x a/ts on last friday. So far i like them alot. They are much smoother than the x terrains. They handled nice in some heavy down pours the other night too.
Friday before i changed them i did a burn out with the x terrains at my buddies dealership where i change them. I didnt think it was to much of a burn out but apparently it was. I made two 3/4 inch holes in the pavement from my tires, there was so much smoke from the tires and exhaust that a passing ambulance stopped and the 2 guys got out and one put on a fire helmet and were looking around for a fire till they saw us. O and it was raining extremely hard at that exact time. I had to laugh at them when they asked where the fire was.

i was wondering how much these tires throw up rocks, my current street tires have a tendancy to pick up 1/2 inch rocks and throw them at my doors and my mirrors, ive had goodyear wranglers before and never had this problem but these new tires are horrible.

My Extreme AT's did that too. The new Extreme MT's do not.
