I'll be swapping out the IP on my 98 12V tomorrow. I have the old one almost off, just need to lock it at TDC and throw the gear puller on. Anyone nearby willing to lend a hand getting the new one on? Its a HEAVY SOB I have the manual and all but if anyone has done this before Id love the supervision! Id even send you home with a case of sudsy goodness!

I just pulled mine tonight (check 12v engine section....

it is very hard to do by yourself and not drop or damage the pump...at least the gettign it out part is.

Hm, that doesnt sound fun. Id help you but Im just as clueless on taking the pump out. If its just another pair of hands you need or access to air tools give me a yell.

 

For me its always FUN! i have done it lots of times already! and if i only where close to where you live id help!

where did ya get a new pump and how much $$$? Did you sent out the old one as a core?
