I call them "Lock Wrongs." They are not as durable as a Detroit Locker. Since you want drive on the street, I think ARB might be a good option. Yes, some people will say they are not reliable with the the air lines and such, but I've never had any problems with my ARB's in 3 years of hard 4 wheeling (Tellico, Moab, Clayton, Poteau, Disney). <br><br>My current offroad rig with 42" swampers has a rear spool and a Detroit in the front.<br><br>Whatever you do, don't take it 4 wheel parts and wholesaler to install. These guys don't know how to setup gears.<br><br>Charles

I had one in a 14 bolt semi-float GM rear axle, got tired of replacing it every time it broke. Lock-right was good with warranting the unit but to much hassle with if failing. Upgraded to a 14 bolt full floater with a Detroit Locker and it is way better, a little quiter than the lockright also. JMHO

I've had Lock Rights in both front and rear axles of my Jeep CJ-7 (both are Dana 44 axles) for about 5-6 years and never broken anything - axle shaft, diff carrier or locker. I've driven this Jeep on city streets and hi-ways and off-road in some pretty wicked stuff with no problems. Even use 4-wheel drive around town and on hi-way with no real problems.<br><br>Yes, they're somewhat quirky going around corners, especially from a dead stop, and the rear end "twitches" a little when shifting gears (getting on and off the throttle), but you get used to it after a while.<br><br>One thing to keep in mind is this. The locker itself is generally quite strong. Where the weakness comes in to play has a lot to do with the strength of the diff carrier they're installed in. The bigger and stronger the carrier, the stronger the overall unit will be.<br><br>I know this isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison (Jeep CJ to CTD) but I hope it helps some. ;D
