Anyone add an "Extension" wire to the trans temp sensor..

Anyone add an "Extension" wire to the trans temp sensor..
My autometer NV transmission temp gauge wiring for the sensor "Probe", is too short...There should be no problem adding some wiring the same gauage, so it will reach my T-block..RIGHT?.think the wire is about 22gauge..-+..I've been working on the left pillar "Three" gauge mount for about 3-4 weeks in my spare time..all done and just need to plug in the senor plug, but the OEM factory wiring is too short..thanks in advance..RD
