No I've been wanting to get the stage 3 turbo for awhile now..........those things sound freakin awesome!!! Sound like the 6.0L powerjoke with the jet whistle........I love it.

Sadly I don't think I'm gonna be getting mine, think I'm going to sell the truck!!!

I helped a friend of mine put one on his truck last week, really nice kit and spools very quick.

Interesting. I've seen so many success stories from the Mitsubishi Eclipse/Evolution guys using the GT35R and GT42R. I'm curious about these too. I've got a friend looking into it for me.

Being such a big turbo, does the stage 3 spool good or is it slow. I wonder if the stage 2 is comparable to the sps62??? I would love to have the powerjoke whistle!!

I like the fact that it has a water cooled cartridge. Wonder what the differeneces are between the stages? I wonder if it would work on a set of twins. I might replace the KSB-1 I was thinking of getting.

I'm replacing my PDR HX35 for a Garrett Stage II this coming Monday through MASSDIESEL. I'll let you know how I like it When I get back. You'll hear from me tuesday the latest.

Why a Garrett instead of a (take your pic) SPS62, B1, Htb2...
I run 35"s with a 3.54 rear end w/ a DTT 89% TC- Low to mid end Spool is more important to me than running 2800 rpm. This is with a Comp/Smarty and DDII injectors.
With the Ball bearings and the watercooling this seems like it's one fast spooling turbo. I also talked to "Torque This" on the TDR. He has one and is very happy with the spoolup characteristics.

I'll see next week.

Exclamation

Patience. (thats the word )
Sorry for the delay. I am trying to isolate a boost leak. It seams only to rear it's head around 20 psi. I will update this post once I can get some honest testing on the turbo done.

Initial comments are that it spools lightning fast. And is a good match to the Smarty with the high initial fueling it gives off the line. It spools faster than my HX35/14 ever did.

Again - sorry for the delay
