Any one have pictures of #8 plate?

Pulled the plate today to put in the #10 I bought and found the one in there stamped with a large 8? So I pull it out and compare it to the #10 I got from TST and they look alike? Is there a place or post of the different pictures of them? Is the profile the same on all the grinds?

How far up that plate does the "pin" actually move? Does it ever get to the top? Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks Chris
I think the #8 I took out was a TST plate since the # 8stamp was the same size as the 10 and they just kind of looked the same? The profile look simmilar in your picture for the 8-10 but on mine they were even closer. I think it was put in at BD (Valley Fuel) out here so I'm not sure what it was? I didnt take any exact measurments but.... I been curious all night and think I will pull it out this AM and look closer.

It depends on how far the plate is slid forwards or back how much is used. I would say the maximum surface that is used is half an inch, the gov arm never touches most of the plate. This is what makes gov arm adjustment important if you want the most power gain from a particular plate.

I see, so which plate will give you the most power? That flat one?

The flat one that many people call a #0 will give you the most power, but you have to regulate egts with your foot. The #0 is like not having a plate at all but is there to keep pump damage from occurring as it would without a plate.

It has the lip at the bottom to help control low rpm fueling, but then just goes to flat, like a #0..

So is it safe to assume that the 10 defuels at the higher RPM's or Boost? The 100 plate only defuels at idle and adds more "total" fuel at all positions?

You have the right idea,

the 100 plate (pics in my gallery as well as banks plate and zero, for ur viewing and education) will fuel more gently than a 0 plate due to the J curve it has, once it reaches the top of the J there is no defueling. Its more streetable than a 0 plate

Whats the best plate profile for a 95 auto (stock so far)

Future bombs will be dv's , 370's, B1, bhaf, straight pipe.

I am thinking of either a 10 or a 100 plate , i don't know if the 100 is too much? I'm not worried about the tranny holding it either , i know it will

I wish I knew, I have had the banks plate in there, I now have the number six, I will try a number 4 soon, and I will be trying a 100 soon too? So right now it is trial and error. With the banks I dynoed 310/675 in November. I need to get back to the dyno to see what the 6 will do.
