Read every post there is for He351VE swap into 2nd Gen . Any updates and or simple perfected methods of making this swap easier ? I'm only concerned with reliable Vane control Called fleece about a month ago they said they no longer offer that he351ve controller and basically told me that the he351ve was a bad choice for my 1995 modded 12 valve .

 

The only really good thing about the HE351vgt is the exhaust brake and how it warms up the truck. Not sure on how the fleece stuff would work. Probably easier to just get a HE351CW and get an exhaust brake. Probably going that way you get a better exhaust brake and set-up than the HE351vgt. Factory 4th gen stuff works pretty decent, it just isn't a very fun turbo. Pretty small stuff for a 6.7L truck, not sure why, maybe its due to its small 59mm impeller.
59mm impeller and the turbine is pretty small. If you want more turbo, go twins or buy a 61/73mm S300. I want to find a k-31 and give it a try under my HE351cw. It comes with internal waste gate and 1.28 housing.
