Any difference between HTB2 and HX40 Downpipe flanges?

I've searched and haven't been able to find a picture of an HTB2 or an HX40exhaust outlet... I have a 62/12 and an HX40 flanged downpipe, they don't match up. The HX40 flange is 4" o.d., about 3.25" or so ID, looks just like the flange from my non wg firstgen housing and my banks 14 wg housing, just 1" smaller. The 62/12 has a larger flange, more like a "normal" 4" v band where the i.d. is almost 4" and the lip the clamp fits over is more like 4.5" or so. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with this picture. Thanks for any help.

you have an older HTB2... it has a full marmon 4" flange. you can have the housing machined to accept an HX40 half-marmon flange or buy a newer housing that has already been machined
