Was this practice? Good luck getting another 6-8 months out of it.

Maybe you will be like John and Hohn. And weren't you ribbing John pretty good about his tranny? Look who's is dying

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

And the thought of you adminestering life support to a transmission is funny. Sounds more like assisted suicide

Problem? What problem? Everything is perfectly ok.

And I would never think of assisting in a suicide. That would be illegal.

If your getting up to get one I'd love one. I'm almost empty.

So far everything's good. Just gotta figure out this vibration coming from the rear end of the truck. I can't tell if it's u-joints or something else but it definately gets worse the high up I turn the comp. And no it's not the tranny. RPM's go up at the same rate that the truck is accelerating.

Sorry, just grabbed another one...

Maybe it's your tranny.

What kind of vibration?

It's only when it's under a load between 55-60mph. Check my thread in the 2nd gen drivetrain on how to tell if u-joints are bad.

I'll give you no more than 3 months tops, you won't be able to stop yourself from hammering it all the time.

Yup. Your right. Been running it on 2x2 all day today hammering it. Even toyed with a girl in a 6.0 today. So far so good. Boy does this truck pull hard.

I believe most DTT VB's are set for 80 psi, +/- 3 psi... that's cold pressure at idle.

Well, here we are at mid february and it's still going. I tapped the wire on it and on 2x2 it holds good. I've tried one or two runs on 5x5 but nothing insane. Just lots of smoke. I just talked to a member on here and he's sending me his old catcher to try out. Tranny isn't liking life though. It won't start accelerating until about 1800-2000 rpm's and only drops about 100 rpm's each shift until lockup. It doesn't slip though. It just doesn't like life. Come on June.

I just got the Smarty and so far tranny has gotten noticable worse, but mine is doing the same as far as the rpm drop between shifts, but mine still accelerates around 1500 or so, for now at least......

Mine will start to move around 1500 or so, but won't start to accelerate until almost 2000. Come on Catcher.

So is it really hard to move when taking off from a dead stop?? Feel like the brakes on until higher RPM's?? Cuz that's what mine is starting to do and its making me mad. Doesn't do it all the time, more or less when I take off for the first time of the day......and occasionally when driving around in town. Just curious if you have the some problem?
