Another injector question?

Here is my situation, I need some expert advise. I have an 01 HO with a quadzilla chip (70-35) with boost, pyro, and FP guages. The only other mods to the truck are a drop in K&N and a straight pipe 3" stock exhaust. I am wanting injectors now. I will go with EDM stage 1's or 2's, not sure here is where the question starts. If I were to only pull with the quad off, would I be safe with 2's, as far as clutch, EGTs are considered. I just want to choose the best option for my configuration. I know with the quad on 70 and stage 2's the clutch would cry. Just like to know what others think and what you have tried. When I replace my clutch I will go with Southbend.

well i have an 01 with a van aaken 65hp chip and i installed xxx 90 hp injectors and my clutch isnt crying at all,but i am.i would go with at least the mach 2s or even 3s then if its to much turn your chip down or take it off,at least that way you wont be bored in a week and wishing you got the bigger ones.just my opinion and i didnt take my own advise but i will next time.

My roommate with your truck has a comp in EZ mode and mach 1.5's and his clutch is dying a horrible death. With the comp turned off, it's alright but who knows how long it will hold towing.

How is the power with the comp off, does it feel like it has more power with just the injectors or just the EZ?

Anybody else have an opinion?

Can't really give you much advise about which way will have the best combo of power. (My truck has the correct # of valves) BUT, if I knew I was going to end up having to up grade my clutch, and after my clutch was upgraded I know I would want the larger injector. Just my .02

i dont have a comp box but i think level 1 is stock.i would still get the bigest injectors i could afford and put the chip on low or take it off till the clutch needs replacing{all depends on how you drive}may last a long time using it conservativly with the power.{dont rev her to 3k in third and dump it}

you also have to consider whether you have enough turbo for the injector/box combo.

fyi, a comp on level one is the same as running an EZ

With the box off and running on just injectors, it's got more power than an EZ alone. With the box on, well, you know.

FWIW, a comp on 1x1 is backing the truck down ~50hp under the box off setting. The fuel comes on low and late in this setting.

brandon.
