ANOTHER fuel plate ?
I read a post from Infidel that says and I quote "use a #10 nobody goes by the charts anymore". I have a number 10 and want some more hp so can I just slide it ahead? Is the governor arm the top piece you remove from the pump when you install the plate? Im sure someone has asked this same question just point me in that direction. Thanks in advanve.

Heres a pic of the governor arm. http://www.piersdiesel.com/TechLeverAdj.htm You can just slide your plate ahead for more power. The arm that you remove from the plate from above is the AFC arm. It controls when more fuel is permitted by using a boost signal from the intake. The AFC housing can also be slid forward, and you can adjust the starwheel, which is under the plug on the top. Toward the motor for more smoke.

Awesome
I REALLY appreciate the advice. I searched the site and found some stuff but it didnt address mt main concern being the govener arm. So I can just remove it? Maybe Ill just adjust it first. Im guessing this is why my bottom end hasnt changed any. Top end is fine with lots of power. Thanks again.

First try sliding the AFC housing (top part held down by the four screws) forward and take it for a drive.
The quarter inch or so of movement of the AFC makes a huge difference in bottom end power.
