Ok guys i have read just about every thread on the catcher ecm i can find from here and tdr and nwbombers . I still have one thing that i havent really gotten cleared up from this reading will my stock auto hold up to this ecm or am i going to have to upgrade before getting one . i plan on uprading the tranny latter but would love to have the throttle response of the cathcer sooner .

As far as I know, if that's the only thing you have done to your truck, then you should be ok. If you've got anything else (such as your VA box) then it will probably damage it. Reason being is that it brings on the power so much earlier than any of the boxes out there that the line pressures in the tranny aren't high enough to hold it.

Has anyone run the catcher and an ez combo and what are the results. I just put a ez on my 02 and am looking to get a catcher sometime earlier spring. I understand the catcher can be had with or without timing in it. My 02 is a auto so maybe the timing of the ez and timing in the catcher would not be to much. I also plan on a set of 2.5 edm's and a turbo upgrade. Does anyone know how much advance is in a stock SO and a stock HO motor. How much advance is in the ez and how much does the catcher run in advance? I ran the ez on a 01 ho and it really woke it up. This truck is my wifes truck and it will not pull anything but a light bumper trailer. Thanks, Gary

big blue,
so you think if i run with out my van aakens pluged in i should be safe till i can get the tranny done and then its safe to go as big as i please. with the injecters and turbo setup.

Possibly. Like I said, the Catcher brings the power on straight from idle and the pressures in the tranny aren't up high enough to really hold it all. I say you've got about a 50/50 chance on it. I'd definately up the pressures in the tranny slightly and adjust the bands to help hold the power.
