Another air filter question

My paper filter has hardly any dirt in it, being practically new, but every time I use a drop in paper filter my OEM "filter minder" gets sucked up to 100% very quickly, usually right after I drive it. Obviously my truck is starving for air, so which drop-in air filter would help cure my problem? I'm open to other suggestions other than drop-in filters too, like air box mods and things of the sort... TIA

Maybe the spring in the filterminder is weak.

If you change your filter go with a BAHF and you won't lok back.

Here is a BHAF and cover for a pretty good price. Won't starve for air with this!

I played with an Amsoil Micro Fiber Conical filter for a while but found it did not flow enough air also...at 500+ hp.
Don't know the BHAF's but thought they had their hp limits also?
With your mods you may need to go AFE and be done with it. Especially after adding injectors. JMO.

I'm installing twins in the near future (HX-35/S475), so I was hoping to find something cheap for now that would cure the problem. I ran without the filter for a few miles to see the difference, and there definitely was a difference, plus that turbo whistles dang loud without it! Maybe I should just stick with a paper filter til I do twins?
