Analogue or digital gauges
I know but I'm buying a full set of gauges this week, currently I only have an analogue Auto Meter fuel pressure gauge. I was going to mound a A pillar mount for the rest of the gauges, boost, egt and trans temp but a recent article pointed out the Quadzilla Commander. Seems pretty compact, easy to install and will do everything I want for the same price as the gauges and mount paint etc. So the question is do you trust electronic gauges or just stick with the analogue type. What about the upgrade on the commander to monitor fuel pressure. Is it worth it and get rid of my current gauge or just use it to monitor egts, boost and trans temp. Or use the tried and true analogue gauges.
Thanks in advance.

Nope. I don't trust any electric gauges. Had a full set of digital gauges once and lost 3 fuel pressure senders and one boost sender. At one point I thought my lift pump had gone out because the fuel pressure gauge kept saying EEE so I spent $400 on a new fuel system just to find out it was the blasted sender. Now I've got all mechanical except for oil pressure and water temp and the sender on the oil pressure is jacked up and I think the one for the water temp is finky as well.

So 2 for analogue 0 for electrical.
The check just arrived in the mail so It's shopping time.
Any last votes for the commander?
Going to place my order tomorrow.
Thanks again.

Analog... You can watch the needle sweep, and tell how fast it is going up or down, or how still it is staying easily by a glance. With digital the numbers are constantly changing. I just personally wouldnt like it. Give me analog gauges anyday.

i will agree, electrics can be troublesome, and less trustworthy. but, i am very happy so far with my attitude monitor. a lot better than my old analogs. yes, mechanicals are much better, and i all mechanicals in my buggy, but for something that isnt seeing offroad, or harsh elements, i think electrics are okay. now if it was a high end race motor, then things would be different. but for most of us and our trucks, i think this is more personal preference...

With a unanimous vote it's analogue/mechanical then.
Now I like my Auto Meter Ultra lite Pro Comp fuel guage from Geno's any reason to switch to another brand. They all seem about the same price.
Thanks again.
