Am I safe to lock up my TC?

With the mods I have am I safe going with Suncoast's controller if I'm easy on it or do I definitely have to have the full meal deal (flex plate, billet shafts & built tranny)? Thanks y'all...

Forgot to say, when I say easy on it I mean only taking off on lower power levels at no more than half pedal. Just not sure if this would be too much on the tranny shifting while locked up.

I don't know what a suncoast controller is or does but I lock my converter with my goerend tripple disk, VB and other goodies in sig, no billit FP or Input. And love it for towing. A simple $5 switch, a relay and some wire and about 20 minutes of my time when all said and done. Ok it took a few days to get it working correct and not throwing codes but only really took 20 minutes of my time

Agree^^^^^. I love my switch for towing and makes for a poor man's exhaust brake.

Ha ha same with mine. I agree.

I dont use mine very often. Put it in for track use but use it while towing once in a while. I think if you used it like you said you would, you would prob be just fine IMO.

The Suncoast controller is the same as the ATS co-pilot but gives more line pressure & is less expensive.

Ive been told it takes alot of testing to get the controller/co-pilot working the way you want it.

My lock up switch cost 16 bucks all together and is as simple as On or Off.
Just FYI.

Just comes down to the money you want to spend really.
I know alot of people with the poor mans lock up and non have complaned.

Here is all you need to know for your 02 auto, manual lockup for $20 or less.

If you want I have 4 more 33ohm resisters I had to buy (total cost of $1 for 5 from Radio Shack) I'll mail you one if you want.
