Mine with the EZ has never been passed up a hill loaded by a mid or pickup sized truck like loaded. The last engine was rated at 190 horse and with the rv275 injectors was almost as strong as this engine.
Medium duty trucks like in question are rated by continuous horsepower ratings, while light duty HP ratings are max power. That is why you will find ISB's in medium duty applications set at lower HP levels than what is found in the Rams. You could run an ISB out of a freightliner to the floorboard literally all day long, where you wouldn't want to do that with an ISB out of a Ram all day long.

The one I was interested is on a Freightliner MT55 Fedex delivery van.
It has a Cummins ISB-02 185 with an Allison 2400 transmission.

Only neg issue is adapter to tranfer case, which I believe is same as 1000 on GM trucks, and the output of motor is only 200hp it will need "pumped up" a little, but it's the newer version of the 5.9 ISB.

I decided to go with a good ol' standard 47RE, but if somebody is interested in the combo above, it will sell for approx 6,500, but you will get the whole van (2004 Freightliner M55)

Check Freightliner web site for more details.

IM A DETROIT DIESEL/ ALLISION TECH. THE ALLISON IN THE DURAMAX IS ONLY A 1000 SERIES. IT IS NOT 600LBS EITHER. THE TRANS THAT COMES IN THE OLDER FED EX VANS OR UPS VANS ARE EITHER A 545 OR A 645. THE NEWER VANS HAVE A 1000 SERIES IN THEM. AN ALLISON CLUTCHES ARE DESIGN TO TAKE ONLY 50 TO 100 HP MORE THAN AN A MEDIUM ENGIN CAN PUT OUT . YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED WHAT YOU FIND AN ALLISON IN!!!! EVERYBUS ON ROAD HAS AN ALLISON THATS A HD SERIES(4000) THEY WEIGH ABOUT 700 TO 900 LBS. MOTORHOMES ALL HAVE ALLISONS TOO. THOSE WOULD BE THE MD SERIES(3000). MOST OF YOUR SMAL COMERICAL TRUCK, VANS, AN OTHERS WOULD HAVE A 1000 ,2000 OR A 2400 SREIES.
THE 1000/2000 ARE THE SAME SIZE JUST THE IN TERNALS ARE A LITTLE BEEFER. THE 2400 IS MORE OF A MANUAL TRANS THAN A AN ELECTRONIC TRANS LIKE THE 1000,2000,3000, N 4000 SERIESYOU A FEW THINGS TO MAKE IT WORK IN OUR TRUCKS.
